Circle Prayer

Aims & Objectives of Ladies Circle India
  1. To be non-political and non-sectarian
  2. To promote friendship between Circlers and Tablers wives Locally, Nationally and Internationally
  3. To assist Round Table
  4. To participate where possible in community service
  5. To promote the extension of Circles throughout India

  • Area IV Hepatitis B Project The 94 students of Lighthouse for the Blind were administered 2 doses.3 doctors were organized by CALC #3. Food packets were donated.
  • 30th Jan – Donated Complan Health Tonics and Chawanprash at Ek Prayas school. Project Cost – Rs. 1000
  • Charter Day 10th Feb – Biscuit packets for 95 children were donated at Ek Prayas School. Project Cost – Rs. 850
  • 21st Feb – Tube well was donated at Baghnan at Alokedhara School. Project Cost – Rs. 50000
  • 21st Feb – Tiffin Boxes, Sweets and biscuit packets for 200 children at Baghnan were donated Project Cost – Rs. 3150
  • 23rd Feb – donated a water filter at Ek Prayas. Project Cost – Rs. 1400
  • 23rd Feb – Tiffin Boxes, sweets for 95 children were also donated at Ek Prayas School. Project Cost – Rs. 1500

  • Presented for 4 Black boards to a school in Nadia district run by Don Bosco School Park Circus. Project cost Rs 10,000.
  • 27th day project: distribution of food items. Project cost Rs 2530.00
  • lc iNDIA cHARTER dAY pROJEcT: oN 22nd March provided its adopted school-    “Buniyadi Vidyapeeth“furniture’s like tables, chairs, benches and black boards for its class rooms and donated cash of Rs 1500 to the school. Project cost Rs. 46,250.00

  • Area IV Hepatitis B Project The 94 students of Lighthouse for the Blind were administered 2 doses.  Cost to be calculated later.
  • Makar Sankranti Project  700 warm vest worth Rs. 45,000 were distributed to children in three LC46 schools
  • Republic Day Project sponsored prizes worth Rs. 1,500 for the Annual Sports Day at LC46 Monomohan Academy at Barasath.
  • LC International Charter Day Project donated a brand new Rickshaw and miscellaneous utility items worth Rs. 7,500 to a handicapped Rickshaw puller.
  • Holi Project donated Rs. 5,000 to a needy lady whose 18 year old daughter was suffering from acute Nephritis.
  • International Women’s Day Project one month’s requirement of yarn worth Rs. 5,000 was donated to the vocational centre for destitute girls at Mahila Sewa Samity. The girls will use the yarn to weave dusters and mats on manual looms
  • LC India Charter Day Project participated and contributed Rs. 2,100 towards a blood group screening and eye testing camp for under privileged children at a CSP street centre thereby benefiting 210 children.
  • World Disabled Day Project donated a tri-cycle worth Rs. 3,500 to a crippled girl
  • Birthday Project Crs. Amishi, Supriya and Suman in lieu of their Twinkler’s birthdays organized a magic show for the 40 children, distributed food packets and gave prizes to those who stood first in the sports events. Project cost Rs. 2,250.
  • Birthday Project Cr. Alka P. celebrated Twinklers Ishaan and Aashna’s birthdays by inviting under privileged children to her home and treating them. A magic show was arranged for 60 children. The project cost Rs. 1,200.
  • Birthday Project Crs. Archana A. and Shilpi visited a street school and conducted a drawing competition for the 20 children. They gave away prizes to best entries and food packets to all. The total cost was Rs. 500.
  • Birthday Project Crs Alka T. and Shraddha distributed food packets worth Rs. 1,000 at a crèche that takes care of 40 children while their mothers are away working as domestic help. 
  • E to E Project: Application for RTIF grant towards the “LC46 Abdalpur Primary School”, Digberia has been approved. Construction has begun. The total cost of construction is estimated to be Rs.6, 50,000.
  • Joint Project with LC83: One on-going APSS candidate of LC83 requiring aid to the tune of Rs. 1,750 was sponsored.

    • Area IV Hepatitis B Project The 94 students of Lighthouse for the Blind were administered 2 doses.  Cost to be calculated later.
    • Toilet block. On 27th of Dec 06 LCI President Cr. Seetha Venkatesh inaugurated a toilet Block at Shivmandir School. A unit in which three toilets were built to benefit 400 kids. Cost of project: Rs.30, 280.00.
    • Hip Hip Hurray the annual sports event for the Underprivileged was organised on 4th of Feb 07. The children had a wonderful time taking part in the different races like the three-legged race,   wheelbarrow race, lemon and spoon race. Counselor Mrs. Mita Mitra was there to boost the morale of the kids and give away the prizes. Food packets, pencil box with pencils and sketch pen sets were given away to all the kids who had participated. Cost of project: Rs.9350.00.
    • The Barrackpore Women’s Society: On 14th Feb 07. Black Board, Chalk, Stationary and mats etc were given. Cost of project: Rs.1570.00
    • Project at Arsh Vidya Nidhi School: On 20th of Mar 07 Note books, pencils, erasers, biscuits and ice cream were distributed to the children. Cost of project: Rs.1182.00.
    • Project at Bhawanipore Baba Badruddin Shah Welfare Society: On  22nd of March 2007.Provided stationary such as 2 exercise copies, a metallic pencil box with a box of wax crayons, pencils, eraser, sharpener & a ruler, along with it the syllabus text books were also distributed to the 100 kids of that school. This was a joint project with KALC93.   Cost of project: Rs.5000.00. Rs.2500.00 was LC#65’s share.
