3rd Quarterly Report of Area IV |
- First Dose of Hepatitis B project with RT#41: 1st dose given to children of Shahid Smriti Vidyapeeth on 24th February 2007 to 80 kids and adults. Food packets and chocolates were given. Cost of project- Rs.4100
- Replacement of the knee plate: on 2nd March 2007 Shibani Das needed a knee plate surgery for which a sum of Rs.7000.00 was given towards her treatment to her husband.
- Feeding project was done at Dakshin Kolkata Sevashram: On 18th of March 2007 a can of oil and bananas were distributed to the orphanage. Cost of project: Rs.1000.00.
- Limb Donation: On 19th of March 2007 two limbs were donated at Mahavir Seva Sadan.Cost of project: Rs.2000.00.
- Eye operation: On 21st of March 2007 eye operation on the left eyes of two ladies aged 45years and 55years was conducted at Lions hospital. Cost of project: Rs.1200.00.
- Midday meal sponsored for a month: On 24th March 2007 Midday meal was sponsored for the children at Barrackpore Women’s Society for a month. Cost of Project: Rs.1000.00.

- Project at Bhawanipore Baba Badruddin Shah Welfare Society: On 22nd of March 2007.Provided stationary such as 2 exercise copies, a metallic pencil box with a box of wax crayons, pencils, eraser, sharpener & a ruler, along with it the syllabus text books were also distributed to the 100 kids of that school. This was a joint project with KALC93. Cost of project: Rs.5000.00. Rs.2500.00 was LC# 93’s share.
- “Parivarkee” school Toilet block Project: The RTIT/RTIF & FSF grants were approved by the National Board & a cheque of Rs.25000 from FSF was remitted to our bank A/C. The total project cost is Rs. 150000 out of which the circle is giving Rs. 55,000 & the balance money which is Rs. 20,000 is provided by the school itself. It’s the biggest project undertaken by the circle since its conception
It was decided that mid April would be perfect for the inauguration of the Toilet Block.

- Cr Nupur has been giving Rs 500 every month for any needy project; The Circle has been using this money for worthy feeding programme and educational purpose of needy kids.
CPSLC#46:
- Sit-N-Draw will be held on 29th April, 2007 at Modern High School for Girls.
The venue itself has generated good publicity and interest.
CMLC#65:
- Coffee Morning Our annual fundraiser Coffee Morning will be held on the 23rd of June 2007.
- Shrijan: The exhibition cum sale, which was started last year to be clubbed with the Coffee Morning.
- Donation received from well wishers both in cash and kind.
CSLC#83:
- Sterling Stars will be held later in 2007.
KALC# 93:
- Newspapers fundraiser. It is a monthly fundraiser raising Rs1400.

CALC#3:
- 2/03/07 – Holi meet organized by RT 17 was attended.
- Mr. & Mrs. Pedderson’s visit
The five day stay of Mr. & Mrs. Mogen Pedderson was organized. They are sponsors from Denmark from an organization called Terre Des Homme. They are sponsoring 43 children from Baghnan and Ek Prayas School. They visited the schools along with us and had an interactive session with the children and the parents. They understood the pattern of teaching. They were much impressed and satisfied with the kind of work we were doing and the children were benefiting from it. Organized a city tour for them.
A Fellowship Social where we felicitated them by giving them a small token gift and a certificate of appreciation under our EtoE project. This Certificate and gifts of appreciation was presented to Mr. Mogens Pederson On 21st Feb 2007 in the presence of ACP Cr. Manisha Mohunta, IPP Cr. Alka Poddar and other members of Area IV team along with all the Past and Present tablers of CART.12 and Past and Present circlers of CALC#3.

CCLC#27:
- Valentine Social: CCLC 27 had one social, theme was Valentine. The invitation card was beautifully decorated with moons and pearls, and so was the whole ambience ,all the couples presented a small romantic dance, there was a questionnaire of how much you know your spouse and all were dancing to the tunes of the DJ and our ears were enjoying the lovely songs sung by the guests. It was truly a scene of “Love is in the Air”.
- Most Circlers attend socials and meeting of other Circles and Tables. Circlers. Tablers and Twinklers regularly meet for birthdays and movies.
- All the Circlers attended the CSRT#17 Fund Raiser “Shanghai Surprise” on 31st Dec on a barge. All the Crs. Participated.
