3rd Quarterly Report of Area IV |
- All the Circlers attended the Area Holi meet of RT India organized by CSRT 17 in Racquets Club, all the City Tables and Circles presented a small skit.
- Holi Fellowship: Tablers, Circlers and Twinklers played Holi together at Tr Ashish and Cr Rina’s residence.
- To celebrate the success of the 31st Barge party, the Trs of CSRT 17 had thrown a party for the Crs and Tw of LC 27 in Calcutta Swimming Club.

CPSLC#46:
- Fellowship after meetings: 7th meeting was held at Lakme. The Circlers were given complimentary head massages, blow drys, shampoos, manicures and pedicures after the meeting.
- Fellowship after meetings: 8th meeting was held outdoors during the Rainbow picnic social The Friendship chain revolved around the topic “Fashion and Personal Grooming”
- Fellowship after meetings: 9th meeting on the eve of Valentine’s Day was held at Starmark book store. Each Circler was requested to bring along the gift she planned to give to her Valentine. The most creative and romantic gift was given a prize. Then Crs were taught how to wrap their gifts attractively. A very special Mommy Shower was organised in honour of Cr. Daman who has now delivered a baby girl. Circlers sang songs for her and also presented her with a gift.
- Fellowship after meetings: 10th meeting was a joint with LC65. All Circlers of LC46 and LC65 celebrating their birthday in the month of March cut a cake together. Mrs. Megha from “Writeherewritenow” enlightened the Circlers about the importance of writing as a form of expression. The Crs spoke on “Books and Websites”. LC46 Head Board turned Sergeants and gave funny titles to all the Circlers
- Arabian Nights Social: Crs. Archana J., Shraddha, Vishu and Vishaka hosted the AGM Lounge Party at Cloud 9. The AGM guests were given head gear, veils and golden disc hair bands. The décor had white glittering drapes, velvet cushions, scented hookahs and flying carpets. The guests relaxed in the harem and were entertained by magicians, Arabic Mehndi designers, Kohl painters, games, Kahwa and Lebanese cuisine. The Shehzaadees and Mallikas were presented with Lemon Grass aromatic oil in minaret shaped bottles. The party won the Best Lounge Party award at the RTI AGM.
- Rainbow Picnic Social: On 14th Jan Crs. Aparna and Supriya hosted a Rainbow picnic social. Everybody played Badminton, Cricket, Football and Basketball. Others went riding on bi-cycles or scooties and took part in various races. After a lunch and the Circle meeting, the much awaited “Men’s Cook Out” was organised.
- Holi Social: 2nd Mar Crs. Priyanka and Mridula jointly with Cr. Sonali from LC65. Circlers were dressed in traditional saris, their cheeks and foreheads were smeared with Holi powder. They were served “thandai” with “bhang” by the hostesses. A musical troupe sang Holi songs and men dressed as Rajasthani folks danced with “dhaps”.
- Fellowship with others: Cr. Aparna met Cr. Radhika Khandelwal CP LC53 at Pune. Crs attended socials of other circles, HRD organized by LC27, 4th city Chairperson’s Meet, Area Badminton tournament organized by KERT 63, Area Holi Meet hosted by RT17, the 1111th meeting of RT4.
- Cr. Vishu represented Area IV at the LCI Idol Meet at Hyderabad and attended the ATSUMARI.
- Koffeewithkaun: This fellowship initiative is progressing smoothly with warm support from the Circlers. A coffee hamper is passed from one couple to another within 15 days of receiving it.
- CPRT34 Fund-raiser - “An Evening with Deepak Chopra”: all Circlers enjoyed Mr. Deepak Chopra’s discourse. A personal interview with the renowned speaker was arranged Circlers enjoyed conversing with Mr. Chopra on a one to one basis.
- Celebrations at Cloud 9: All Circlers attended to celebrate the stupendous success of the CPRT34 fund-raiser “An Evening with Deepak Chopra” and danced until the wee hours of the morning.
- Movie show: Eleven couples watched “Eklavya” and had dinner together thereafter.
- Twinklers Fellowship: Nov – Dec‘06 National Theme – Children’s special The Twinklers of LC46 put up an inaugural Bengali dance on the Workshop Day and a Western number on the AGM Day. Most Twinklers registered at the AGM crèche and visited the zoo and ice-cream factory.
- Twinklers Fellowship Jan – Feb’07 National Theme – Blue Cross: The Twinklers participated in many relays and sporting events.
- Visit to the Science Museum: 18 Twinklers visited the Birla Industrial and Technological Institute. In keeping with the National theme “Blue Cross” Twinklers were introduced to exotic aquariums and dinosaur models. They also watched three live shows – “The Super Cold Show”, “The Planetarium” and “The Coal Mine Show”.
- Twinklers Fellowship March – April, ’07 National Theme – Art and Craft: Holi social: All Twinklers had a wonderful time at the Holi social smearing colours on one another. They enjoyed eating the chaats and dancing to the live music.
- Area IV Sports Bonanza: LC46 organized a Mega sports Carnival exclusively for Twinklers jointly with LC65 on 25th March.
CMLC#65:
- Batches of 4 Circlers are formed as per National Directives to organize a fellowship event every 2nd month.
- Darna Jaroori Hai was the theme of the Lounge party that was organised by out Tablers and Circlers on the 28th of December 2006 at the Palladian Lounge. And everybody who came had a great time.
- Picnic fellowship was organised in January at Cr. Amita’s farm where the Tablers Circlers and Twinklers had a Blast. The Twinklers made sure their fathers got the much needed exercise.
- Area IV Sports Bonanza A Twinklers fellowship was organised jointly with CPLC46 on the 25th of March 2007 at the Space Circle Club. Twinklers from all over the city took part in it. Even though each and every child must have participated in more than one sporting event but still they didn’t get tired and were rearing to go for more. One thing is for sure that the kids know how to make the most of any given opportunity. They were presented with a Certificate of Participation and the winners were given Medals.
- Valentine Social: Cr. Pooja Cr. Manisha and Cr. Shalini threw a Valentine bash on the 14th of February 2007 at Cloud nine. The best part of the party being the collecting of maximum no. of hearts to pronounced as Mr. Valentine and Mrs. Valentine.
- Holi Social: On 2nd March Cr. Sonali gave us a wonderful chance of playing Holi with flowers by giving a Holi party. It was well attended with everybody turning up in their best Bandhej. The dhaap singers and dancers enhanced the festivities. Crs of LC46 and LC65 celebrated their birthday in the month of March cut a cake together. Mrs. Megha from “Writeherewritenow” enlightened the Circlers about the importance of writing as a form of expression. The Crs spoke on “Books and Websites”.
- Ghazal Nite Social Cr. Urvashi, Cr. Anjana and Cr. Ritu had us all celebrating to the strings of Hindi ghazals. The atmosphere was absolutely mesmerizing with little candles spread all over the lawn and just the right amount of chill in the air. The dress code being Indian ethnic wear had the ladies turn out in their saris and men in their Kurtas.
- Back to school social: Crs Harleen and Vineeta threw a wonderful social where you dress like you would in your school days. Interesting games took all back to their school days.
- Joint meeting with CPLC46: on the 2nd of March 2007 saw the Circlers of two different Circles came together and shared their experience and their way of conducting business.
- Coffee fellowship Chain: The chain was begun by Cr. Kajal when she invited Cr. Harleen and Tr. Prabhjit for coffee to know each other better. A coffee hamper was given which would be passed on to the other couple.
- Circlers at other Circle meetings: From time to time our Circlers attend meetings of other Circles, HRD organized by LC27, 4th city Chairperson’s Meet, Area Badminton tournament organized by KERT 63, Area Holi Meet hosted by RT17, the 1111th meeting of RT4.
CSLC#83:
- HoIi fellowship organised for the tablers, Circlers and Twinklers.
KALC# 93:
- Bouquets to all the circlers on their b’days and greeting the twinklers too!
- SOCIAL was thrown by Cr. Aarti. It was an enjoyable evening on the 3/03/07 & was attended by all tablers & circlers.
- Cr. Nidhi Bagaria represented the circle at the badminton tournament which was an area event
- A fellowship dinner was organized on 15/01/07 at Cr. Ekta’s residence, a potluck dinner, where all tablers & circlers put their culinary skills to test.
- A fellowship lunch was organized on 24/01/07 at Calcutta Swimming Club with all the circlers & twinklers
- Circlers & tablers got together on 10/03/07 to make this Saturday evening a complete blast!
