The focus this year will be on to achieve publicity on a macro level with joint Circle efforts towards the negative group Website. This, being an extremely worthy community service project, has immense scope for publicity.
Implementation will be via :
- Putting up posters seeking donor names for the website.
- Inviting the already present donors for a "tea meet in appreciation" with the media present to emphasize the necessity of such a website.
- Possibility of getting a famous personality (preferably negative group) to endorse the website
- Through awareness Camps: organizing speakers in colleges to encourage people to register
- Aim to achieve the same between 15th September - 1st October.
- Life line posters will be sent to all circles to help them gather more data for the website.
PUBLICITY GUIDELINES
a) When a Circle has an event of any magnitude - fund raiser/ project/ AGM, invite a guest from non - Tabling/Circling community. It could be a well-known personality e.g. Actor/Media person, Corporate Executive, the donor, Govt Official, etc. This way we publicize our work & ensure the necessary coverage for the movement.
b) When a plaque /banners/posters are made for projects /events, it is recommended that it is done under the name of "LADIES CIRCLE INDIA" and not the individual circle name. The circle name can be beneath this, for e.g.
LADIES CIRCLE INDIA (Project Implemented by Ladies Circle no: -XX)
By doing so, LC India comes across as an organization having national presence rather than an individual institution. We ensure our goals are the same and the intentions are more focused. While the efforts of the individual Circles are not diluted, our visibility in a larger perspective gives the Movement its strength.
The Circle and the Movement gets more credibility if we quote figures & work done on a national scale rather than on an individual Circle level esp. when approaching for sponsorship & publicity.
A common format for press releases is being prepared. The same will be available with all Area Officer & the Secretariat for the use of Circles.Wish you all the very best in this Circling year. |
