Raipur Ladies Circle 90

Raipur Ladies Circle 90 jointly with Raipur Round Table 169 took the initiative of celebrating Grand Parents Day on the 16th September 2007. The entire idea clicked with all the members and the members present and the event held at VIP Club, Raipur was a grand success. All the parents of Tablers and Circlers were invited. They were accorded grand welcome as per Indian tradition by applying "Teeka" and "Chandan", showering rose petals and giving garlands to them by the Twinklers. The Twinklers and the Circlers present there touched the Grandparents feet and took their blessings.

The entire even was hosted by our Twinklers. The event kicked off by the Twinklers introducing their Grand Parents in a unique style by saying few lines about them which was very sentimental, touching and at the same time adding naughty notes and making them humorous. The Grand Parents thoroughly enjoyed the games and Housie specially crafted for them. Our Tabler Rupal sang a touching song for the Grand Parents and one of our Grand Parent, Tr. Rajesh’s Father, sang Bhajans for all of us which were very timely and appropriate for the event and touchy.

The event ended by Twinklers giving away Momentos and Prizes for the games and lucky draw for best Dada – Dadi to the Grand Parents. All the Grand Parents invited for the event felt that the kind of respect they received from the Tablers, Circlers and Twinklers reflected the true Indian tradition and culture in which they they have brought up. The event was a huge success.
