Greetings!!
With great fanfare among friends, Presidents Tr. Himanshu Gupta & Cr. Manila Jain had jointly launched the ‘Freedom Drive’ at the Change Over Banquet on 11th July 2009 at Goa.
CONCEPT:
The ‘Freedom Drive’ is a wonderful readymade tool for all of the Tables & Circles to raise funds for their individual projects as well as for Round Table India Trust and Ladies Circle India Trust (which will again support the projects undertaken by individual Tables & Circles).
The ‘Freedom Drive’ is a Joint fundraising cum publicity initiative of Round Table India & Ladies Circle India. This drive includes collecting donations, against the “Freedom Coupons” of Rs.500 each, from various donors. This amount of Rs.500 per “Freedom Coupon” would be shared equally between the Circle and the Ladies Circle India Trust, though all the costs of promoting and executing this ‘Freedom Drive’ will be borne by Round Table India Trust.
Each ‘Freedom Coupon’ would be Publicity cum Fund Raising Tool in the hands of the individual Tablers and Circlers. It would be a booklet containing information on Round Table India and Ladies Circle India and their projects. This would help in the Table and the Circle generating more opportunities to get funds from the same donors, at a later stage and also some new members for their Table and Circle.
LUCKY DRAW:
The ‘Freedom Drive’ will also be accompanied by a wonderful lucky draw concept, where in all the ‘Freedom Coupons’ held by donors will be eligible for a lucky draw two times, that is, during the monthly lucky draw and during the mega final lucky draw, at the end of the Circling year. This will act as an additional attraction to the donors for donating money for “Educate to Enlighten” under this ‘Freedom Drive ’.
The Donors who win a prize in the Monthly Lucky Draw will also be again eligible for the Annual Lucky Draw held for all the Donors.
Our First Monthly Lucky Draw will be held on or before 15th November 2009 for the Donors who have donated during the month of October.
PRIZES:
The National Boards of Round Table India and Ladies Circle India are continuously working on getting the prizes sponsored for the Lucky Draw. As of now, we already have prizes like Hyundai Santro Car, Hero Honda Splendor Bike, Sony Home Theatre, Holiday Packages from Mahindra Holidays, Digital Frames from Kodak, MP3 Players etc and we are looking at getting many many more.
We are looking at around 100,000 of such ‘Freedom Coupons’ to be distributed across the country. We believe that a lot of people may be interested in sponsoring prizes for the lucky draw, to generate publicity for their products among these 100,000 donors, who donate through the ‘Freedom Coupons’.
It is our humble request to all of you to reach out to your contacts, who would be interested in such publicity and help us get some attractive prizes to help this ‘Freedom Drive’ and to add more value to it, so that it can help raise funds for each individual Table/ Circle and Round Table India Trust and Ladies Circle India Trust.
The Specific Prizes for the Lucky Draw for the Donors, who donate through the ‘Freedom Coupons’ during the month of October 2009, to be held on or before 15th November 2009 will be announced shortly.
PROCESS:
The ‘Freedom Coupons’ will be available at the RTI Secretariat for the Tables/Circles to order.
Each ‘Freedom Coupon’ is a single booklet of information packed in an envelope.
Each ‘Freedom Coupon’ has three perforations, One for the Donor, One for the Table/Circle to retain, One to be sent to the RTI Secretariat.
Each Table/Circle can order the ‘Freedom Coupons’ by sending an email to the RTI Secretariat.
The First Order of every Table/Circle, up to a maximum of 100 ‘Freedom Coupons’ will be dispatched to the Table/Circle, on credit. The Table/Circle will need to send 50% of the value of the ‘Freedom Coupon’ (Rs.250 per ‘Freedom Coupon’) to the Secretariat after using them. This order of the Table/Circle will be on non-returnable basis and the Table/Circle will have to send this 50% of the value of the ‘Freedom Coupon’ within a maximum of Two Months from the date of order.
For any subsequent order by the Tables/Circles, the Tables/Circles will have to send 50% of the value of the ‘Freedom Coupon’ (Rs.250 per ‘Freedom Coupon’) in advance to “Round Table India Trust”. Upon receipt of such advance, the RTI Secretariat will dispatch the ‘Freedom Coupons’ to the Tables/Circles. Such advances to the “Round Table India Trust” can also be sent from the Table/Circle Project Account.
All funds raised by the Tables/Circle by the distribution of these ‘Freedom Coupons’ will only go to the Table/Circle Project Account and will be used for charity purpose only.
For those orders placed by a Tabler/Circler, Square leg or a Non-Tabler to the RTI Secretariat for the purchase of the ‘Freedom Coupons’, wherein the Tabler/Circler, Square leg or a Non-Tabler does not want the purchase to be linked to any particular Table/Circle number, He/she will have to send 100% of the value of the ‘Freedom Coupon’ (Rs.500 per ‘Freedom Coupon’) in advance to “Round Table India Trust”. Only upon the receipt of such advance, the RTI Secretariat will dispatch the ‘Freedom Coupons’ to the Tabler/Circler, Square leg or a Non-Tabler.
Each ‘Freedom Coupon’ has a specific Freedom Coupon Number printed on it.
The Table/Circle needs to fill in the name and contact number of the Donor, who purchases the ‘Freedom Coupons’, on all the three perforations, at the time of handing over the Freedom Coupon.
The Table/Circle needs to tear off and retain both the perforations, one which is meant for the Table/Circle to retain and the other which is meant for sending to the RTI Secretariat.
The Table/Circle needs to send the list of Donors along with their contact number and the Coupon Number to the RTI Secretariat on a monthly basis, once the ‘Freedom Coupons’ are given to the Donors. Once the list of Donors along with the contact number and the Coupon Number is received by the RTI Secretariat, only then such Donors will be eligible for the Monthly Lucky Draw and the Annual Lucky Draw.
The Table/Circle needs to send the perforation, meant for sending to the RTI Secretariat, to the RTI Secretariat to claim the prizes won in the Lucky Draw by the Donors.
The Donor also needs to submit the entire ‘Freedom Coupon’ (The Entire Booklet) to us in order to claim the prizes won in the Lucky Draw. This needs to be educated to the donors at the time when the ‘Freedom Coupons’ are handed over to the Donors.
A monthly statement of account will be sent by the RTI Secretariat to each Table/Circle, showing their procurement of the ‘Freedom Coupons’ along with the Coupon Numbers for the month.
The Table/Circle will need to ensure that an amount totaling to the 50% of the value of the number of ‘Freedom Coupons’ used by them, is credited to their Table/Circle Project Account on a monthly basis.
Unused ‘Freedom Coupons’ should be carefully kept and accounted for by each Table/Circle. The Table/Circle will be liable to send back the unused ‘Freedom Coupons’, ONLY if and when asked by the RTI Secretariat. In such case, the advance paid by the Table/Circle to RTI Secretariat to procure these ‘Freedom Coupons’ will be refunded back to the Table/Circle.
Under no circumstances, the Table/Circle can return the ‘Freedom Coupons’ to the RTI Secretariat on their own for whatsoever reason and ask for refund of the of the advance paid to the RTI Secretariat. ‘Freedom Coupons’ once ordered by the Table/Circle cannot be returned.
JOINT INITIATIVE WITH ROUND TABLE INDIA:
Since, this is a Joint initiative with Round Table India, whatever funds are Raised by Ladies Circle India Trust through the Donations received through the ‘Freedom Coupons’, will be split 50-50 with Round Table India Trust, irrespective of whether the ‘Freedom Coupons’ have been used by the Table or the Circle.
FREEDOM MONTH:
OCTOBER 2009 is being CELEBRATED as the FREEDOM MONTH by Round Table India and Ladies Circle India.
We request all the Tables/Circles to participate in the ‘Freedom Drive’ and promote the Distribution of the ‘Freedom Coupons’ to various Donors in order to celebrate the FREEDOM MONTH and to raise funds for their Table/Circle Project accounts.
We will also be giving a Special Recognition to One Circle per Area (At the National AGM) who will be highest contributor to collection of donations through the ‘Freedom Coupons’ during the FREEDOM MONTH.
